A typical mix has squares, large rectangles, flat rectangles, and smaller fillers called "snecks". The random combination of sizes produces a strong bond and an attractive finish. Both smooth-faced and rusticated finishes are found, as well as dry stone and mortared walls. Even with dressed stone, snecked masonry may require on-site stone cutting and shaping. == References == - [[Professional Practice/Codes & Standards/National Building Code of India/Part 06 - Structural Design/Section 4 - Masonry]] - [[Building Construction/Structural Systems/Masonry Structures]] - [[Research, Analysis & Citations]] - [[History and Theory/Temple Architecture/Stone Temples of India/satellites]] - [[Interior Architecture]] - [[Design/Architectural Design/Space Planning]] - [[Landscape]] - [[Design/Building Typologies/Hospitality Architecture]] - [[Building Services/Building Performance/Building Envelope]] - [[Professional Practice/Codes & Standards/National Building Code of India/Part 06 - Structural Design/Section 6 - Steel]]
